Eagle School – Nutrition Program

Many kids in Haiti do not get breakfast before going to school. Their grumbling stomachs make them distracted and some even fall asleep. To help prevent this, Eagle School started a nutrition program with a morning meal 3 days a week (limited due to current funding) that consists of the following varieties:

Milk
Bread, Peanut Butter
Rice and Smock Fish
Pasta
Fruits/Vegetables

This projected cost after inflation is $1.50 per kid per week for our desired 5 meal days ($0.30/meal) and for the upcoming school year, we are planning to feed 240 students… bringing the total to $360 per week or $1,440 per month. We currently have monthly funding for $720 per month and have 3 meal days a week of trimmed portions due to inflation to fit our budget. We need an additional $720 per month of recurring donations to reach our goal of 5 day full meal portions.

Please consider helping out in the nutrition program with a one time or a monthly recurring donation of any amount. Any amount helps! Just a donation of $25 per month would feed four kids 5 days a week and really help us reach our goal!!! The students and teachers really value this program as it greatly helps student attention and productivity. Thank You and God Bless!!!

Eagle School – Student Scholarships
Only $25 a month will support one student!

Eagle School has submitted a grant request for student scholarships.  A full year scholarship at Eagle School is only $300 (U.S.).   $25 a month if you choose a recurring payment.  Scholarships help pay for teachers, books, supplies, and uniforms. Eagle School has 240 students and a sliding tuition scale for families based on their ability to pay. Scholarships are needed to help make up the difference. We have 50 students whose families cannot afford tuition at all. We are asking for donations here to concentrate on those students most in need from the poorest families.

Below are the names of those students most in need. Please select those student(s) who are not already sponsored that you would like to support. Just add their name(s) in the note section of PayPal or send us an email with your selections to friendsofeagleschool@gmail.com. We are creating the new list of needy students for the upcoming Fall 2024 school year now… It will be posted in a few weeks.
